Josalyn, attended Clark Atlanta University, where she obtained her Bachelors degree in finance in 2010. In 2011, she was bored with her desk job and decided to further her education; and within months she up and moved to London, England (and Bangkok, Thailand).

"In London is where I had my first encounter with French macarons and instantly fell in love."

She not only fell in love with macarons but also with her then boyfriend who is now her husband several years later. Josalyn has traveled to almost thirty different countries and continues to explore the world whenever she gets the opportunity.

In January 2018 she was living the typical New Yorker life: working for a hedge fund company and just miserable...

"I knew I couldn't continue to live in misery so I decided that on March 1, 2018 I was going to quit. I had no real plan in place, but I knew that everything was going to be ok."

After quitting her job she found out that she was pregnant, so she took the rest of the year to prepare for motherhood. In December 2018 she gave birth to her son and in January 2019 she had an "Aha" moment to start a macaron business. This way she could raise her newborn while generating income from home.

"For three months, I watched every macaron making video there was and spent several of hours in the kitchen trying to perfect the craft. I really didn't think that hard about it, I just did it and decided to launch the company in April."

Months later, BE. Macarons is flourishing. Thanks to you!
